Now we’re back in the early sampler years of the late 70s and 80s. The technology was still on a beginner’s level with 8 and 12 Bit data resolution. And RAM memory extremely limited, samples were pretty small sized, sometimes even just a few KiloBytes. But they sound very cool with lots of character. The “Freaky Bits” sample library brings back these sounds! Always a bit imperfect, once in a while also rather quirky and rough. Over 120 samples as sonic essence and a kind of best-of, provided with 128 ready-to-use Program Presets.

Controller
Each one of the 128 Program Preset provides the sound with smart Controller assignment, where you have access to the typical parameters those Vintage Samplers provide too.
Most important is the Ribbon where the Brilliance of a timbre is always under your instant control. The default middle position is the average setting and a slide to the right is giving more treble to the sound, to the left less brilliance.
Moving the Joystick down allows to shorten the decay, up adds vibrato to the sound. SW1 transposes one octave down while SW2 locks the currently selected Ribbon position.
